If you use our referral service or buy an ARL-deal as a gift for a third party, we may request information concerning the relevant third parties, including name and email address. We will automatically send the third party a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. ArlingtonVirginia.com stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email, sending a gift to the third party, and/or tracking the success of our referral program. The third party may contact us at Directory@ArlingtonVirginia.com to request that we remove this information from our database.
We use Personally Identifiable Information to complete transactions authorized by you, administer contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions, enhance Site operation, marketing and promotional efforts, analyze Site use, improve product and service offerings, and to enhance your experience through transmission of this information to third parties as specified further below. We share some of your Personally Identifiable Information with ArlingtonVirginia.com Merchants who request information on ArlingtonVirginia.com customers who purchased ARL-deals in order to aid redemption. Sharing this Information may also allow an ArlingtonVirginia.com Merchant to market directly to you. We will limit the sharing of Personally Identifiable Information with an ArlingtonVirginia.com Merchant to those activities in which you identify yourself in a transaction specific to the Merchant. We specifically disclaim any responsibility or liability for the actions of any ArlingtonVirginia.com Merchant. While we inform them that they are only permitted to communicate with you for the purposes of the specific promotion with ArlingtonVirginia.com, we do not have any responsibility for their actions or use of Personally Identifiable Information, which is outside of our control.
We may remarket your information. Remarketing is a way for us to connect with users based upon your past interactions with the Site. ArlingtonVirginia.com may hire third-party marketing vendors to perform remarketing services. 5. Updating and Correcting Information
You have the ability to access and edit the Personally Identifiable Information you provide us. As a condition of purchase of our products and services, we will send you Administrative and Promotional emails. We will send you information regarding your account activity and purchases as well as updates about our products and promotional offers. Administrative Emails relate to a User’s activity on the Site, and include emails regarding a particular User’s account, requests or inquiries, and purchases of products and services. Promotional Emails advertise our products and services, including exclusive sales and other offers, and/or the products and services of our Advertisers and Affiliates.
