The National Inventors Hall of Fame® and the exhibit design company Chermayeff & Geismar designed an exciting space in a modern aesthetic style using a rich palette of exhibit techniques—such as videos, interactive exhibits, artifacts and touch-screen technology—to feature patents, trademarks, inventors and inventions.

The opening exhibit is The Invention Machine: A Day in My Life. Visitors to the museum realize, as they view the exhibit, that they experience inventions and trademarks every day without stopping to think of their origins. Visitors can see how intellectual property is fully integrated in their lives, found in the routines they follow at the beginning of the day, in methods they use for travel, in medical innovations they rely upon for good health, and in the different ways they relax and play. All of these involve everyday inventions and trademarks that improve the lives of museum visitors.

School and group tours are welcome at the museum. Please contact the Office of Public Affairs at 571-272-8400 at least two weeks ahead of time to schedule a tour.
